موسسه imec یک موسسه نوآور بین المللی پژوهشی و توسعه است که در زمینه نانوالکترونیک و فنآوری های دیجیتالی فعال است. در سال ۲۰۱۶ این موسسه باموسسه iMinds که قبلا با نام IBBT شناخته میشد، ادغام شدند.

در موسسه imec در حدود ۳۵۰۰ محقق از ۷۵ کشور مشغول به کار هستند. دفتر اصلی این شرکت در شهر لووئن در کشور بلژیک واقع شده است. همچنین این موسسه در شش کشور دیگر فعال می باشد که شامل هلند، تایوان، چین، هند، ایالات متحده و ژاپن می باشد.

The Kloosterman Lab at NERF is currently recruiting research fellows (PhD/Postdoc)

The Kloosterman Lab studies the neural basis of information processing and storage in the mammalian brain. We use a combination of neurophysiology, cellular imaging, optogenetics and advanced (real-time) neural signal processing in awake, behaving rodents. Our research focuses on the cellular activity patterns during navigational task learning and sleep that underlie spatial memory processing. Current projects look at the dynamically coordinated hippocampal-cortical interactions that mediate offline rehearsals of past experiences. Our aim is to understand how offline rehearsals drive the acquisition, consolidation and execution of demanding behavioral tasks.

Profile

You have a degree in neuroscience, physics, engineering, computer science or mathematics
You are proficient in English and have good written and oral communication skills
You have strong quantitative and technical skills
You are fluent in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, C++)
Preferably, you have research experience in systems neuroscience, cellular neurophysiology or computational neuroscience
You are self-motivated, critical, and independent minded
You are a team player who likes challenges
You have a strong drive for scientific excellence and integrity
You are comfortable working with rodents
